Each of these drawings features a single fruit or vegetable occupying the center of a sheet of tinted paper. I think of the drawings more as portraits than still-lifes, as the character of the subject is of primary importance.

These drawings are done in silverpoint, a medieval drawing medium that substitutes silver for graphite, with some very interesting results.
